Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1970s Mid-Century Modern / Retro studio art pottery stoneware teapot. This handcrafted piece features a rustic, tactile design with an unpainted sand-textured upper body accented by hand-painted earthy brown horizontal bands. The lower portion, spout, and matching lid are finished in a striking metallic iron-brown drip glaze.
Features:
- Heavy, durable stoneware construction
- Classic hand-thrown appearance with an unglazed foot ring
- Unmarked base, typical of regional guild or independent artisan studio work from the era
- Measurements: Approximately 5" tall (including lid knob) and 8.5" long from spout tip to handle edge.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, structural issues, or heavy crazing. The interior is incredibly clean with only the natural production pitting/speckling inherent to rustic stoneware clay. A beautiful, functional addition to any MCM, Boho, or Farmhouse kitchen collection.
