Vintage Mid-Century Modern Ceramic African Warrior / Hunter Figurine

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage mid-century modern (MCM) ceramic figurine depicting a tribal African warrior or hunter. This striking piece features a dynamic, athletic pose set on an integrated rock-like base. It is a fantastic example of 1950s/1960s retro home decor and exoticist art styles.

The figurine features a great contrast of textures and glazes: a rich, matte/semi-gloss brown wood-grain finish on the body, paired with a glossy white glaze on the loincloth and necklace.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There is beautiful, age-appropriate light crazing inside the white glaze, which adds to its vintage character.

Markings: Unmarked / no manufacturer markings on the hollow base.

Size: Measures approximately 8 inches tall and the base is roughly 4.5 to 5 inches wide.
